Speaking of Moonbootica, I recently found this really awesome mix that they performed for Barcardi B-Live. Ok ok, they did do it way back in August, but it's till quality six months later---I promise. First and foremost, their transitions are REALLY nice. Maybe not everything is executed perfectly, but more often than not I can't tell where one song ends and another begins. Second, their music is impossibly melodic and their track selection is amazing. With Moonbootica, there's no way to go wrong.

Hallo hallo everybody!

I'm soooooo excited for this weekend--I'm headed to the big NYC. I'm staying at a friend's place and he's gonna show me around. Super awesome! Today tho, we'll talk about a few new albums and EPs.


I first heard the Thoughtless Hussies Remix of Pets Dance almost a year ago and have been eagerly awaiting the EP for what feels like twice as long. Although I still don't have the original version, there's a teaser track below plus a few remixes.

Currently Felix Cartal in on tour with MSTRKRFT, who have a new album, Fists of God, coming out March 17th. Personally when I've seen them live, I haven't found them terribly impressive but the track Fists of God is pretty good. I can't find a copy to give to you since MSTRKRFT have been really gung-ho about keeping everything under wraps. When I started to write this post yesterday you could still stream the title track, Fists of God, on hypem, but alas, now it is no where to be found.

Shadow-Dancing Away Your NYE

Hallo hallo! Since nye is so close at hand I thought I'd post some heavy stuff to play once your party's in full swing. The UK duo Shadow Dancer, signed to Boys Noize Records, are not only prolific but pretty good too. If you're in Montreal for NYE you should go to I Love Neon with Chromeo, Tommie Sunshine, Kap Bambino, Jordan Dare and NROTB. Yes, I know Chromeo's played out, but it will still be fun. I went to see Simian Mobile Disco at Coda last spring. Chromeo was in town for a gig and decided to show up at Coda to see SMD too. I was standing at the back of the club to cool off and randomly they came over and stood right next to me (OMG!!!!). Yeah...that's my lame story...I stood next to Chromeo. Either way, go to I Love Neon. Nextron and I went to last year's party at SAT and it was super fun!
